Our team of dedicated mechanics is passionate about delivering excellence in every aspect of our work. We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.

Position Overview: As a Heavy Duty Mechanic at NorthView Service Ltd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our customers’ trucks, trailers and equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out regular maintenance and repair tasks on heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including working on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and brake systems.
2. Diagnose Issues: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify mechanical problems and determine necessary repairs.
3. Replace Parts: Install or replace worn or damaged components and systems to restore equipment to optimal performance.
4. Conduct Inspections: Execute detailed inspections to detect potential issues and ensure vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
5. Maintain Records: Keep precise records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used to track equipment history and service requirements.
6. Collaborate on Complex Problems: Work with team members to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical issues, sharing expertise and solutions.
7. Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest industry developments and technological advancements in heavy-duty truck maintenance.

Qualifications:

1. Experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or similar role.
2. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
3. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
4. Ability to understand and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
5. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
6. Knowledge of heavy-duty systems including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
7. A Valid Driver’s License is required.
8. Relevant certifications are an asset, but we are willing to offer training to the right candidate.
